Project News and Updates – July 2022

Working Groups 

  • July 10, 2022: The NCIME Working Groups met in person for a day of Engagement and breakout sessions in Vancouver, BC, ahead of the 2022 Pacific Region Indigenous Doctors Congress (PRIDoC).

 

Executive Committee

  • July 10-15: Executive Committee attended the 2022 Pacific Region Indigenous Doctors Congress in Vancouver, BC
  • July 20: Congratulations, Dr. Marcia Anderson, winner of the 2022 Lieutenant Governor’s Award for Excellence in Public Administration! Dr. Anderson is also the Chair of the NCIME Executive Committee.

 

Collaboration 

  • July 11: NCIME and the Indigenous Physicians Association of Canada (IPAC) hosted an Indigenous Faculty Development Forum in Vancouver, BC.
  • July 12: NCIME facilitated an Elders and Knowledge Keepers Circle meeting for NCIME Elders in attendance during PRIDoC.
  • July 15: PRIDoC Medical Education Panel featuring Dr. Sarah Funnell, presenting on NCIME. The NCIME staff were in attendance to network and share with the attendees for the remainder of the session after Dr. Funnell’s presentation.
  • July 10-15: NCIME Executive Committee and staff attended PRIDoC to facilitate meetings and sessions and promote the work of the Consortium, with Executive Committee members featured in a number of panel discussions and breakout sessions throughout the week.

  • Request for Proposals – Database Development Services
    NCIME is seeking proposals for a solution for a registry, including associated systems and managed services.
    Submission deadline: August 9, 2022, at 5:00 p.m. EST.
  • Job posting: Project Manager (1 year, 7- month term position)
    The Project Manager will provide day-to-day management of a new, three-year project to implement Indigenous-led solutions in health care education and service delivery.
    Applications will be accepted until August 12, 2022.
  • Job posting: Communications Specialist (1 year, 7- month term position)
    The Communication Specialist will work closely with the project team and oversight committees and will provide strategic support for the development of knowledge translation and dissemination products, as well as branding and promotional project materials.
