Final 2022 Thoughts

As we near the end of 2022, we thank everyone involved in the important work the NCIME is completing. Your time, talent and voices are invaluable to the combined effort we are taking to advance Indigenous medical education and leadership in healthcare from coast to coast to coast.

The NCIME Working Groups have held their most recent and final meetings of 2022 virtually. Each Working Group will meet one more time to end Year 2 of the project. At the most recent set of meetings, Kenton Boutillier, Kody Doxtater and Sara Ayaruak-Thomson, who are the NCIME’s Knowledge Products Developer, Project Manager and Associate Project Manager respectively, were introduced to the team. Kenton, Kody & Sara are thrilled to join the NCIME team and are each looking forward to working with everyone throughout 2023.

The NCIME Working Groups, Executive Committee and the NCIME team of staff are planning to meet in Toronto in early March 2023. This in-person gathering will allow us to head into our final year of Phase 1 focused and grounded.

On behalf of everyone involved in the NCIME, we would like to wish you all a safe and happy holiday season and all the best for 2023.
